The girls just graduated from the D.A.R.E. program. They kind of make a big deal out of it here....they have a graduation and refreshments following. Each person is required to write and essay about how the program has helped them, and then one from each class is chosen to read theirs aloud at the graduation. Madison's essay was picked so she read her essay aloud and received a medal for it.
