Double Digits!!

Well...Cole has done it. He has made it to double digits. The morning of his birthday I mentioned this to him - he put up a fist and said, "YES!" Cole is a great kid to have around (as long as he gets enough sleep). He is a natural athlete and love anything outdoors. His favorite things are fishing and four-wheeling.

For Coles birthday he decided he wanted to go to an electric go-kart race track. We invited one friend along and took the family and they had a great time. Their first race they were a little timid and didn't go very fast. When they finished the race I asked them why they all went so slow....they said they felt like they were going soooo fast. They all sped up their next two races. It ended up being a really fun place for them. It was the perfect place for Cole.

Cole is not a real cake lover. When I asked him what kind of cake he wanted he told me he wanted 12 layer jello....a little time consuming, but easy!

Happy Birthday bud! Hope it was a great one!

Havyn Turns 5

Yes....it is true, my baby turned 5 today! It is hard to believe that next year she will be in full-day kindergarten. I have loved having her all to myself during school hours - she is such a fun little lady! Havyn loves everything girly but is also, at times, somewhat of a tomboy. She loves sports and is very competitive. She is stubborn and independent. She has so much personality and spunk....she keeps us laughing! We love you Havyn!

Our lives are so busy right now and I really tried to get out of having a party but Havyn was insistent! So...since she is the boss, I obeyed and planned a party. I decided to have the party at a place in the mall that is full of bounce houses. It was the perfect place to let the kids loose without having to plan all the little party games. We invited her little friends from preschool and her friend Lucy. This was her first real birthday party, with friends. We have always just done small family parties. I think they had a great time and burned lots of energy in the process.

Havyn loves everything girly and was so excited to pick out the prettiest princess cake she could find. This year she only asked for two things....a new bike and an American girl doll. We got her a new bike, a Madame Alexander doll (what she calls American girl dolls at a much better price!!!) with a few different outfits and a dress (she would wear dresses everyday if I allowed her).

Waiting for friends to arrive - had the place all to ourselves for a while
